REDBERRY OF THUNDERCLAN,

[style= text-align: justify]about ► this is redberry, a small slender tortoiseshell in appearance with olive eyes, yet in personality she has more to her than first impressions.

born in a litter of two, she and her sister were quite the troublesome duo. while her sister was the more bold and adventurous one of the two, redberry was more cautious and creative, the brains and the brawn. some joked that her sister had stolen her share of courage, leaving redberry with a nervous persona while her sister blossomed into a strong brave warrior. while redberry remained a nervous little furball through her apprentice days, she slowly became less afraid and more confident in herself, though she still has a long way to go. sadly the tortoiseshell continued to slowly grow while her sister was leaps and bounds ahead of her, earning her warrior name a few moons before redberry did, which in some way, her sister's success still affects her to this day.

currently redberry is a caring and friendly warrior, it's a common sight to see her buzzing around her clanmates and enjoying a good conversation, often the spark of life in a patrol with her accepting and good hearted nature. surprisingly even though she welcomes her clan with welcome paws, accepting them all for who they are, she is incredibly un-accepting of herself and secretly lacks confidence in her abilities. she isn't the most skilled fighter in thunderclan and isn't the bravest either, plus her sister's success looms over her head, knocking her down and causing her to strive to be as good as she can be. even if it means wearing her paws down to the bone she is a stubborn hard worker. she longs for her clanmates praise and strives off the feeling of being accepted and acknowledged.

as a result redberry can be a little envious at times but also can be rather secretive about her flaws and feelings, not wanting her fellow clanmates to look down on her. this is where she mainly uses her skill in cunning and lying, telling her clan the opposite of how she really feels so that they don't think bad of her. paw in paw with her lack of confidence and her need to impress, she's also a bit worrisome at times but she's mostly just careful, often thinking things through carefully before executing plans.

what this she-cat is slowly starting to see is her skills lie elsewhere in clanlife, though she still strives to be a better fighter, her true abilities lie in battle-strategies and hunting, thanks to her creativity and intelligence, as well as her slender sleek body. however she has yet to properly show these skills off and is still trying to convince herself that maybe that's where she truly shines.

negatives ► lacks confidence, skilled liar, sometimes fearful, envious, worrisome, cunning, stubborn, personally negative, overworks self & needs public acceptance.

wanted ► friends would be lovely, including a best friend or two considering redberry is a rather social cat! her sister would also be a great addition, for good reasons and interesting plots. i'll add more later.

smokeclaw ► a fellow clanmate, redberry is quite interested in smokeclaw, finding him quite the curious cat. she doesn't care that others back away from him and, probably to his annoyance, makes a point to talk to him. leaning towards a positive relationship, mostly from her side. possible future mate, pondering.

wildstar ► close friend, confidant and they grew up together, sharing a den from kithood to warriors. therefore the two are rather close with one another and are firm friends. redberry does feel somewhat insignificant around her slightly younger friend but she's proud of her all the same.

hawkpaw ► my adorable little apprentice! redberry has been given hawkpaw as an apprentice after his former mentor surrendered his responsibilities to her. redberry doesn't care about hawkpaw's previously failed mentors and works hard to train him to be a respected warrior.

toadpaw ► smokeclaw's apprentice and just as much a grumpy furball as he is! redberry wants to make the young toadpaw smile and enjoy himself and strives to be a positive influence in his life, even if he doesn't want her to be. don't want that frown sticking when the wind changes!

[style=width: 220px; height: 220px; overflow: auto;background-color:fff; text-align: justify; font-family: calibri; padding: 5px; font-size: 11px;][style=font-family: fjalla one; text-transform: uppercase; text-align: center; font-size: 24px; letter-spacing: -1px;]SMOKECLAW & REDBERRY[/style]these two are polar opposites! but that's what i think would be great about them sort of getting together. i hate plotting finals, but we could always just thread it out and see where it gets us? anyway, smokeclaw is harsh and rude and doesn't see the good in anyone unless they've proved themselves to him personally. he is quick to judge and point out flaws, but is one of thunderclan's most respected warriors because of his fighting ability. wildstar puts a lot of faith in him and he carries a lot of responsibility on his shoulders. smokeclaw has a bullshit detector and i think he could see through redberry's facade? and he could just mention one day in passing (maybe they're watching their apprentices hunt together) that she has more ability than she thinks and she shouldn't smile so much because it's really obvious she's hiding something. maybe her sister is really drawn to smokeclaw's power and ability and starts to really like him. but he isn't interested at all. and when rederry gets a little attention from him, she lets it get to her head and tries to overpower her sister for once? idk. c: up to you! anyway, these two need to have a little apprentice/mentor sesh together![/style][/style]

completely agree and love the ideas, the two are complete opposites but that simply means interesting plots and fun threads with their conflicting personalities. as mentioned, redberry wouldn't care that everyone else keeps their distance from smokeclaw and dislikes that others leave him out, she accepts him for being a grumpy furball and would still attempt to talk to him despite the glares she's bound to get. i'm sure she'd like him for who he is and would probably find his snappy attitude amusing more than anything, though i'm sure if he tried hard enough he could batter her confidence and get her upset if he wanted.

these two, if redberry gets an apprentice too, would make a good combo! good cop bad cop anyone?

still i love what you suggested that in time, smokeclaw could figure out that she's lying to everyone and is rather lacking in confidence. i'm sure if he praised her, in his stern way, she'd get a confidence boost, as i imagine it would mean a lot for her to hear it from him, considering he isn't known to be super nice but is very respected. i'd like that to happen later on, if that's alright! don't want to rush a development~

completely agree with the finals thing, let's roleplay them out together and see how they interact with one another. who knows, they could mesh together rather well and we'll let them roll out natrually.

I just realized Redberry is 37 moons old, and Wildstar is 36! That means that they grew up together! So I'm thinking that Redberry would be one of Wildstar's few friends, who she talks to more than she does any other cat. Wildstar herself was still an apprentice at 12 moons, when she finally got chosen for the Warrior Games, so she could be considered a late-bloomer as well. x3 In that case, they probably would've spent a lot of time together and became friends along the way. And since they're childhood friends, they could share little secrets and personal life stuff, and it'll be adorable. x3 What do you think?

but sure, i like that idea. the two would have grown up together from kithood and therefore, probably would be rather close. since wildstar is a rather serious cat, i could see redberry being the spark in her life, the one who would bring the fun and light to the twosome. a good balance i imagine, as wildstar could relax and have a nice time with redberry without the need to be serious or whatever.

however i could see redberry feeling a bit insignificant around wildstar, after all she's younger and far more successful than she can ever hope to be. of course she would love her friend and is glad she's achieved so much, but she'd be a tad envious that she's a dull star in comparrison to her sister and her childhood friend. she'd never wish their success away though, proud for them both but she'd be a bit down-hearted that she doesn't hold a candle to them.

redberry could also offer words of advice when wildstar needs it too, as she's rather intelligent and cunning, so if the leader needs someone to discuss plans with, redberry is there if she needs her.

But Wildstar would probably see hints in Redberry's envy, and despite her friends cunning lies, Wildstar would try her best to make Redberry feel as significant as possible by adding her to patrols and asking her to go hunting with her and bringing her to Gatherings.
