you don't have to be some lifelong friend of his to get a good taste of what he's like. yeah, yeah. you shouldn't judge right away and all that... but this guy hides nothing, even right from the start. if you ask him something, he'll give you a blunt and straight-forward answer, seeming not to care if it's offending. he speaks his mind and doesn't hold back, even when around authority. basically, he thinks warriors are too bossy, elders complain far too much, and though he's hardly out of the nursery himself, kits need to grow brains and stop being so annoying.

it'd be nice to be able to say that beetlepaw has a soft, nice side to him. sadly, that would not be stating the truth. around his friends, he's pretty much the same smart-alec that he is around everyone else. the only difference is that, when with them, it's just "joking around", not smarting off. this could be due to the fact that he thinks they only hang out with him because he's so awesome. unless they're extreme fans or something, he doesn't think he can depend on them to shove him out of the way of a twoleg monster or something. trust is hardly in his vocabulary. no-matter how cheesy it may sound, perhaps all he needs is a real, honest cat to come along and show him what friendship's all about.

as he has yet to be given a mentor and thus has not done any real "work" as of this point, we cannot say how he will behave. however, it was clear from the start that beetlepaw does not like to be pushed around and told what to do. he wants to make his own rules, and this will surely cause trouble when he begins his training. it's going to take either an extremely patient mentor or an extremely strict one to make anything of him in the long run. the only thing that might keep him in line is the fact that he wants to be a warrior one day like everyone else. he certainly doesn't want to he held back and be laughed at. he wants to prove himself, and to show that he's worthy of being a member of windclan.
