Hawkstare has always been in two separate classes, his family and those outside it. That's basically the only way you can look at him. We will start however with how most of the world sees him, the Hawkstare most dealt with on a daily basis.

The first thing to cover is that he doesn't appear like he would be anything special or have any real talent. Almost on the lazy side, he tends to stick around camp and avoid any extra work. More entertained with talking to kits and the elders than signing up to whatever has been organised. He does what he needs to, of course. He's not a complete sloth. But if he can avoid it he'll stay away from the extra work.

However, don't question this tom's loyalty or dedication to his duties, he would die and do anything for his clan, even though it may not seem like it at times. Without hesitation, if he's told to do something he'll do it. May take him a bit of time if his family's around or he's talking about them but he will do it. A sociable tom, he tends to have ties to everyone within the clan and really, it's hard to dislike this cool and collected tom. Being hard to anger, he can take a lot of insults without a care and generally doesn't tend to mind what people thing of him.

Yet what everyone knows, even those across clans is that this tom's thing is his family. His amazing, wonderful family that he can't see a thing wrong with and loves so much. Everyone who has spoken to Hawkstare knows about his family in great detail. His brother, to Hawkstare, is the best fighter in the clan who could take on all of ShadowClan on his own, his father an almighty hunter who could feed all four clans in leaf-bare and his mother the most caring mother a cat could wish for. He loves them with everything he has and does not pause to think that may other cats don't care.

A romantic, he is a one-cat-only type of tom and when he finds a she-cat he likes, he has no reservations about going up and announcing his affections, despite the fact usually, he just scares them off, leaving him down for a few moments before once again, he's off. Great with kits, he's made to be a father and the moment he did end up with some of his own, the clan, especially his closest friends, can expect to hear about their every move. To him, family comes above even his clan.

What many don't realise is behind the easy-going jokes and friendly, if not slightly dramatic front, Hawkstare is a warrior worth his weight. An expert fighter, he can used his size and wit to distract and crush others, usually dodging blows until his opponent is exhausted before attacking. That is, if he's forced into a straight fight. His area of expertise is actually in intelligence collection. This tom, despite his size and tendency to be loud, can actually disappear better than most. With his loud front, the moment he goes quiet he can vanish into thin air.

It makes him an excellent spy and someone worth talking to if there's something you're not sure about. Despite talking a lot, this tom tends to hear everything and in turn, is a bit of a gossiper. He knows what's going on in the clan and can easily find out other clan's issues too. More intelligent than many give him credit for, he tends to keep his wit hidden behind lame jokes and hospitality to almost anyone. It's best that way. Without his intelligence being widely known, it means he can get away with sensing change in emotions from others and in turn, help.
