Crowtail always had a very stubborn streak. He refuses to let anyone order him around, unless it's apart of their job, and even then he finds a reason to quarrel. He wants to do things according to his agenda and is most unwilling to have someone else change up his plans. Crowtail does not want to be anyone but himself and therefore only does things that best suit the vision he has of himself. He cannot be contained or delegated, he has a spirit all his own, and that spirit doesn't mix well with others.
Determination plays a big part in Crowtail's life as a warrior. When he sets a goal for himself, he does not stray far from it. He works hard for what he wants, no matter how hard it is or how long it may take. To discard his dreams is to discard his soul. Crowtail lives to make his dreams a reality. If he ever fails a task, he will almost always try again. Failure is not an option when you're Crowtail. He never accepts defeat and would never back down from a challenge.

Crowtail's nature encourages healthy challenges. It would go against his being if he decided to avoid a competition now and then. Crowtail challenges anyone and everyone, just for the heated argument that may follow. He likes to stir things inside other cats, things that would make for a friendly-or not so friendly-competition. Not only does he strive for challenges, but he thinks the average warrior duty is a competition. He competes to catch the best prey, find the border first, win the most tussles. Crowtail considers every little thing a test, and his stubborn competitiveness demands that he passes each test.
When Crowtail finds himself at a loss, he does not take it well. His pride does not mingle well with defeat. He refuses to admit he has failed. Crowtail's wounded pride is more agonizing to deal with than one may assume. He hates hurting his pride with such a passion, he almost always refuses to admit defeat. Unfortunately for Crowtail, his refusal to accept his shortcomings is usually self-destructive.

When one tries to win all the time, like Crowtail, it can be hard to see someone else become victorious. He cannot help but feel a passionate jealousy for those that earn praise over him. Crowtail will act grudgingly towards cats that win instead of him. Crowtail does not become jealous when cats win praise, but also when they become involved with cats other than him. Crowtail feels under-appreciated when his friends choose someone else for company; he does not bother to hide his jealousy when his friends ignore him or prefer another's company over his own.
