Russetflame isn't a cat many know of by his personality. While it's known of, most cats are preoccupied with the fact he was a kittypet, over his role in the clan. Unfortunately, it's this which plays a huge part in his general attitude toward his clan and those outside it.

Russetflame has never been a cat who aims to upset others around him, understand that. Confident in himself and his abilities, this tom isn't shy about recognising his own strengths and weaknesses, after all he was raised to do it, even if it was in a different context. Despite the judgement his own clan, let alone those outside it have given him due to his past, this tom is loyal to a fault. He gave up his show days and the possibility of having whatever she-cat he wanted for the clan life, and he'll be damned to the dark forest before he going back on that.

While he has his opinions, he knows when to bite them back, and won't talk against Birchstar or Eaglestrike even if he feels they're terribly wrong in their choices. He's not a born warrior after all, and despite his skills, he knows he'll never get his brain completely around how they deal with the other clans. That doesn't mean he'll hold back from other members of the clan though. He'll respect the elders and queens to their point, along with senior warriors, but it's these cats he will stand up and defend himself against, and he's not afraid to flash his well-refined fighting skills to prove a point.

Quick and agile, he's a decent hunter and a fast swimmer, knowing how to work the currents relatively well for a somewhat water-hesitant cat. Though his element will always be in battle, where he can battle his wits against other cats and not just wave around his looks like he grew up doing. He doesn't hold back when it comes to defending the territory, that for sure, and holds quite a nasty grudge against the other clans despite not being raised with them around. If they cross the borders, he's not going to be the one waiting to see why before attacking, a trait most of the senior warriors scold him for.

Russetflame may have been better off if he was a smooth talker, but this tom certainly isn't. Rather gruff with a slurring sort of Australian accent, he seems to be a bit too blunt and sarcastic for most cats to want to put up with. It would help if he didn't tell people the complete truth about their appearances either. All in all, he's not the most pleasant cat on the surface, and he won't shy away from that. He knows he's different, and even though cats say he's disloyal or weak for his kittypet roots, he's proud of them, and won't hesitant about throwing in his twoleg references or general knowledge of their works to spite his clan-mates.

However, underneath all that he has a dry sense of humor, and a bit of a playful side for the right cat. Not to mention, well most cats will admit he'd make a half decent mentor or father, with his careful eye for detail and way of explaining things which does make sense. He lives for his clan, but everyone knows they're pushing him out slightly, and he's trying to push it. It's this known and unspoken fact that makes it very clean when he likes a cat or considers them a friend, as that's when he doesn't only protect his own hide, but theirs as well.

he was born from a purebred abyssinian family, and was raised as a show cat, moving from australia to england when he was around a year old. after a while he grew sick of the home life and wandered off, finding the clans, and managing to work his way into riverclan with a lot of effort.
