Hey there. :]
Alright, so I am one of those people who find it easiest to get to know people on a community by starting out with a "formal" introduction (plus I like just getting all my quirks...or some of them more like...pointed out from the start), so here it goes.
I am eighteen and at school in Arizona for college. Currently I am on break back in my house in Minnesota so come a week from tomorrow (Monday), I'll be in a new time zone once again. I am studying astronomy and physics and have no idea what i'm going to do after.
I have not read the Warriors series in...well, years. I sort of outgrew the books. I stopped at the fifth book of the third series - I couldn't even finish it up!
And, I was not a huge fan of The Hunger Games trilogy. I honestly thought the movie pulled the concept off better than the books. That is the FIRST time and probably will be the only time I ever say that a movie was better than the book. I have no urge to re-read them any time soon and that's saying something. I just thought the writing was very mediocre and very poorly executed. And the ending to the third book was just HORRID. In short, even though I loved the concept of the book, loved the originality of the idea and the risk of it...I was just hugely disappointed by the author.
I am, however, OBSESSED with The Mortal Instruments. That series ties for my all time favorite with the Legend of Tortall books by Tamora Pierce. Cassandra has such deeply written works and you can tell the effort she put into not only the plots of each individual book, but the plots that connect all of the series together. And her characters are just extremely well developed, minus her female characters...though I have yet to find authors that can pull off female characters well. I have found a couple exceptions (Pierce's books being one of them) and have a theory on why females never seem well developed, though it's only a theory.
And, just a little warning: I am obsessed with evil characters. From Loki (Thor/Avengers) to Bane (Dark Knight Rises) to Sebastian (Mortal Instruments) to The Boogeyman (Rise of the Guardians) to...well, just everyone! You may notice even on my RPGs that I play a lot of messed up characters with dark intentions - I do well with them and enjoy playing them....not to scare anyone, I'm actually quite harmless.
I am one of the hugest pacifists you'll ever meet in real life. I hate fighting and hate it when people cause a ruckus and hurt others. So much that I hate football and hockey because they just seem like ways to laugh and enjoy the pain of others. I enjoy baseball with the occasional basketball, but that's about it.
Hm...I think that's enough soul searching for me right now so yeah. Nice to meet you all and I enjoy looking forward to RPing with everyone!
Sincerely, Jeopardy
P.S. I LOVE LOVE LOVE to plot. If you have any ideas for any of my characters, never, EVER, be afraid to send me a PM. ;]
Edit: Oh and my current obsessions are Hei from the anime Darker Than Black and Matt Bomer's character Neal Caffrey in White Collar. xD

hiii~ c: i'm a college kid, too! hooray for a sucky life of dorms and dumb frat guys. <3 i suggest reading the last book of the series at least. it made me cry! and i'd been hating the books since the third series. :c they just went completely downhill for me and it was all about powers and crazy prophecies. s;adg/ they were terrible. as for the hunger games, that i am a fan of! i just really think the concept's interesting. and the first person pulled me into the story more than i think it would have. i haven't read the mortal instruments yet! i have it on my kindle though and plan to read it asap. c:
evil characters are my faves! though i do have a soft spot for the good guys, i like to really see a bad character get fleshed out. like how tigerclaw was originally a sickly kit who's dad turned into a kittypet. and he felt like he needed to show no mercy and be a better leader than his old man so he tried to take over the forest and rule everything alskhf; i love him. i play tennis! which is a pretty nonviolent sport since i'm not tackling anyone or kicking them or whatever. just aiming balls at their faces. nbd. matt bomer, i'm convinced, is prince eric from the little mermaid. he is tooooo beautiful. <3 ahh, it's so nice to meet you!!

Like I said, I did love the concept, I just thought the writing was very, very weak...and not because it was first person. I just...I'm very picky on my writing and it didn't do it for mr personally. :p
When you read The Mortal Instruments (which you must), I will say this: I personally love the series following the originally better than the original better so far, even if the first book is her weakest. The second book, The City of Lost Souls is just....OH MY GOSH, it's amazing as heck. But, I might be a little biased seeing as it's all about Sebastian and that little evil sicko is my love. xD
o.o I did NOT know that about Tigerclaw. Huh, that's funny. Go Tigerclaw - I always loved you. More so when he was in ThunderClan than when he was in ShadowClan, but he was pretty cool again when he was with Bramble and Lion. So much better than Fire. x]
I hardly ever like good guys, unless they are good guys in a bad guy's costume. :p They just...lack interesting histories most of the time for me - not like the bad boys.
And nice to meet you. ^^

Hey Jeopardy! :D Nice to meet you, and welcome to C&C!
I'm pretty sure I stopped reading the Warriors series right after the first book of the third story arc. xD After a while the plots just got more... unnatural, and I was starting to outgrow the books anyway. :p But for some reason, I always come back to roleplaying Warriors cats! xD I'm thinking it's most likely because I'm in love with how the whole "Clans and their ranks and how everything works" concept. And especially C&C, which incorporates different elements into the Warrior cats theme, making it very unique. :3
And wow, just wow, I can't believe that there's anyone just like me on the view of the Hunger Games. I honestly thought I was alone in the world when I thought that although the whole concept of the Hunger Games was AWESOME, the writing itself was just... meh. So I only read the first book. XD Plus, I wasn't as into the whole mushy gushy "I love you but really I don't but I can't tell 'cuz I think I do" thing... so I just thought, if the other books were going to be that way, why would I even read them? Because honestly, I thought that the book shouldn't have had any sequels, since the actual Hunger Games themselves was what I was really into reading. xD That's just my opinion, though, and many probably disagree.
Actually, I rediscovered a book that I read when I was in elementary school by Suzanne Collins, called Gregor the Overlander. It was such a good concept, and I loved that book, despite the... well, writing that was aimed at elementary school kids. xD I just loved how she brought to life all of the cockroaches and moths and little people who live underground. x3
Anyway, I've never read the Mortal Instruments before! But it does sound very interesting, and I'd like to read them sometime. :3
And hahahah, oh man, you're one of them. xD The ones with evil characters. That's fine, I generally have at least one evil character the times I do have multiple characters. But the thing about my evil characters are that they're... innocently evil. Like, they really don't mean to harm anyone, and actually have the sweetest personalities! But it's in their nature and they just don't know any better than to be sadistic and cruel and bloodthirsty beasts... they just enjoy what they do!
And the main sport I play is soccer, which is a contact sport. So... I'm not really a pacifist. xD But one difference I've noticed between soccer and the other two sports that I like, which is track and field and cross-country, are that the people in track and field and cross-country are VERY nice and friendly, whereas the ones in soccer are just... evil. xD Some trash talk and some purposely go out of their way to hurt you because you accidentally stepped on their foot and even though you said sorry, they give you a dirty look and take it personally. Geez, so childish, seriously, you'd think they would know better at this age. xD
But anyway, it's nice to meet you, and I can't wait to start RPing with you! I only have one character in the making right now, which is Wildstar of ThunderClan, but I'm sure we can work out a little plot. x3

I've stuck with Warriors RPs because even though I started to outgrow them, there aren't very many good non-Warriors feline RPs and cats are the only things that I can RP.
Thanks you! You are the first person as well that I've found that agrees about The Hunger Games. Although I read the books, I borrowed them from my older brother who bought them. I would NEVER buy these books with my own money and I have no interest in EVER re-reading them - which says something in itself. I would recommend reading the second book, because even though the writing doesn't get better, The Hunger Games in that series is a little more interesting since it's not just Katniss and Peeta pretending to be in love...but do NOT read the third book. It goes downhill. Gale SUCKS in the third book and so does Peeta. >.> Plus the writing made me cringe. ESPECIALLY the ending - it seriously felt like she just wanted to get done with this series. The ending just felt like there was a haze between you and the characters. You weren't really seeing the characters and nothing was really happening. It was fuzzy and just...arg. It was frustrating.
*cough* Evil characters are well...special to me. Just ask Mac. On a site that I was on with her I have a...um...a pedophile special ShadowClan warrior who liked to kill every female he ever was with just because. xD
Soccer just bores he crap out of me.....
Nice to meet you as well. :] I plan on making felines in every Clan, eventually.

[style=width:380px; height:180px; font-family:arial; font-size:12px; text-align:justify; text-transform:lowercase; padding:5px; overflow:auto; margin-top:10px;]Hmm, I'll have to think about it then. x3 Maybe I can borrow the second book from a friend, since just about every single one of my friends have read all three and have the books. And hahahah, I've always felt that evil characters make every roleplaying site all the more interesting and fun to roleplay in. It's just the site with only evil characters that start to get boring. xD I've always loved varieties in every individual character's personality and histories. And I totally get you on the soccer thing. xD I used to think it was boring to watch too, but then again, I realize that's me with all sports unless I actually know the rules and know what the goal of the game is. Then it becomes interesting. x3 But I guess if you're not really into that particular sport, it still might not make a difference, whether you know the rules or not. xD [/style]
