So much left to learn and things to experience. It made Duskfoot feel nervous. A good nervous, but still nervous all the same. He was honored to take on the mentor role, though, and would do his best to train his apprentice in the best way he knew how. Just remember everything you were taught. Which was not difficult considering only a few moons before he had been given his warrior name. The training was as fresh as it could ever be. Maybe that would give him an advantage with Thrushpaw. That's who he was to be teaching for the next several moons. A young tom who he hoped was eager to learn and become the best he could be for the clan. The morning came a bit later for Duskfoot. He was not on border patrol so he did not have to rise with the sun, so he managed to get some extra sleep before shaking out his fur and exiting the warriors den. Hunting patrol was, however, part of his day and looked forward to taking Thrushpaw along. His blue eyes scanned the camp to try and catch sight of his apprentice. Nothing. Hm. The hunting patrol would be heading out soon and they needed to be ready. The tom plodded over to the apprentice's den and stuck his dark face into the room without hesitation. "Thrushpaw," He said a bit above a whisper. "Thrushpaw, get moving, we have to go hunting and the patrol is leaving soon." There was no way they were going to get left behind on their first hunting lesson. That would not only look bad on him, but bad on his apprentice too, and Duskfoot did not want them to question his abilities as a mentor. Once he summoned the young cat, he stepped back and away from the den. His claws dug into the earth a couple of times before pacing leisurely back and forth, waiting for Thrushpaw to appear.
